Dermal fillers are substances/gels injected beneath the skin’s surface to smooth wrinkles and add volume. The products are composed of stabilised hyaluronic acid – a substance that occurs naturally in the cells of the skin. It works by drawing in water and therefore plumping and augmenting the skin, thus reducing the wrinkle treated. Dermal fillers are by no means permanent and are completely biodegradable. They instantly plump and add volume to the areas from which it has been lost so that even the finest lines can be treated with confidence using fillers.

Enhance Your Youthful Glow: The Benefits and Longevity of Dermal Fillers
As a result of age, sun damage, worry, gravity and other environmental factors, our facial skin begins to develop lines and wrinkles. Whilst this is a manifestation of ageing of the skin and a reduction in the collagen and elastic framework of the skin, it is possible to smooth out folds and wrinkles using dermal fillers to give a more relaxed and youthful appearance.
Hyaluronic acid facial fillers have been used to treat millions of patients worldwide and are the world’s most popular non-surgical treatment for static or resting wrinkles and lines. They may also be used in conjunction with Botox anti-wrinkle injections for particularly deep lines. These facial fillers are temporary and results typically last between 6 – 18 months. Restylane and Juvederm – the two most popular brands of dermal fillers that we use at our Belfast skin clinic – have been extensively tested and are supported by many clinical studies to ensure your safety.
Dermal Fillers for Marionette Lines and Nasolabial Lines
What are Nasolabial Folds (Nose to Mouth Lines)?
The nasolabial folds (or nose-to-mouth lines as they are commonly known) are the lines that run from the outside of the nose down to the sides of the mouth. When we smile or laugh, these lines are apparent, hence they are sometimes also called smile or laugh lines. As we age, usually in our late thirties onwards, these lines start to become more noticeable and permanent. This is due to a number of factors including sun damage, the loss of elasticity and collagen in the skin, and diminishment of the fat layer in the cheeks causing the skin to sag. It is at this point that many people start to consider treating these lines. This is the most common area where fillers are used.
What are Marionette Lines (Downturned Mouth or Sad Lines)?
Marionette lines are long vertical lines that are found at the corners of the mouth. They appear with advancing age and some people never get them, depending on facial structure and anatomy. Marionette lines are important landmarks for the general impression of the face. Deep lines here may give the face the appearance of being dissatisfied, grim or even scornful. Marionette lines are an ideal target for injectable fillers.
This is the second most common area that fillers are used.
What Happens Prior to the Treatment?
An initial confidential consultation with our award-winning practitioner will be carried out for any new enquiries. This initial Botox treatment appointment is used to determine your suitability for Botox injections to reduce your lines and wrinkles.
If suitable for the treatment, you’ll receive a medical questionnaire and consent form and a series of photos will be taken of the areas you wish to be treated.
The areas to be treated will be cleansed, and your lines and wrinkles assessed prior to your Botox treatment. This is relatively painless and takes approximately 10 – 15 mins after which you can return to work or other activities.
After your Botox treatment is completed, an appointment is made to return to the clinic 14 days after to assess the results when a top-up may be given, if required.
How do we treat Nasolabial Folds and Marionette Lines?
We typically treat these lines with advanced dermal fillers.
Dermal fillers offer the most effective non-surgical method for treating these lines. The non-permanent dermal fillers we use present a non-invasive and cost-effective means of treatment. Most importantly, they have a proven safety record.

Which Dermal Fillers Brands Do You Use?
We use the 2 most respected – and safest – dermal filler brands that produce proven results: Juvederm and Restylane.
As well as natural ageing, the effects of the sun can also develop and increase the lines around the lips. These lines are more likely to form in smokers due to the repeated pursing of the lips to draw from the cigarette. Smoking also breaks down the production of collagen, which in turn increases the appearance of wrinkles and causes the skin to thin. We typically treat these lines with advanced dermal fillers, Botox or a combination of both. The depth of the lines and extent of puckering will influence treatment modalities.

Restylane Dermal Fillers
Developed in Sweden, Restylane treatments can temporarily reverse the aging process for our patients. Restylane uses a natural, biodegradable material to combat the thinning of the natural collagen fibre layer that supports our skin. As we age, this layer begins to break down, allowing the skin to sag and wrinkle.
Restylane is a thick, transparent gel derived from non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is found in the skin as a vital structural component. Restylane returns skin contour by adding volume to the tissue.
Restylane Treatments
Restylane is injected into the problem area using a thin needle. Typically, a treatment lasts 10 to 30 minutes, and can often be administered without anesthesia. Results of Restylane treatments are immediate. Sometimes a follow-up injection in 2-4 weeks will be recommended, and then you can enjoy results that can last up to a year.
Many fillers similar to Restylane are made from animal sources and therefore require batteries of skin tests to determine that there will be no adverse reactions when used on human subjects. But because Restylane is a filler made from non-animal material, no such tests are required. Restylane is natural and safe, and our patients will welcome the confidence that a younger, healthier look can inspire.

Dermal filler treatments are known for their efficiency and minimal downtime, making them a popular choice for those seeking facial rejuvenation. The duration of a dermal filler procedure can vary, but typically, the treatment itself is relatively quick. Understanding the timeline of a dermal filler appointment can help patients plan accordingly and know what to expect.
Pre-treatment consultation
The dermal filler process begins with a thorough consultation, which is crucial for ensuring optimal results and patient satisfaction.
Facial assessment
During this phase, the practitioner carefully examines the patient’s facial structure, skin quality, and areas of concern. This comprehensive evaluation helps determine the most suitable filler type and injection sites for achieving the desired outcome.
Treatment planning
Based on the assessment and the patient’s goals, the practitioner develops a personalised treatment plan. This may include discussing the number of syringes needed, the specific areas to be treated, and the expected results.
The filler procedure
The actual injection process is typically quick, often taking less time than the consultation itself.
Preparation
Before injections begin, the treatment areas are cleansed, and a topical numbing cream may be applied to enhance comfort. This preparatory step usually takes about 15-20 minutes if numbing is used.
Injection process
The injection of dermal fillers is a precise and artistic process. Depending on the areas being treated and the amount of filler used, this step typically takes between 15 to 30 minutes.
Post-treatment care
After the injections are complete, there’s a brief period dedicated to immediate aftercare and instructions.
Immediate aftercare
The practitioner may apply ice to the treated areas to minimise swelling and provide immediate comfort. This usually takes just a few minutes.
Post-treatment instructions
Before leaving, patients receive detailed aftercare instructions, which is crucial for optimising results and minimising potential side effects. This discussion typically lasts about 5-10 minutes.
Total appointment duration
While the injection process itself is quick, patients should plan for a longer overall appointment to account for all stages of the treatment.
First-time treatments
For new patients, the entire process, including consultation, may take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the complexity of the treatment plan.
Follow-up treatments
Subsequent appointments are often shorter, typically lasting between 30 minutes to an hour, as the consultation phase is usually briefer.
It’s important to note that while the actual injection of dermal fillers is a relatively quick process, the overall treatment involves several steps to ensure safety, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. The time invested in proper consultation and aftercare contributes significantly to achieving natural-looking, harmonious results.
Every patient’s treatment experience is unique, and factors such as the number of areas being treated, the type of filler used, and individual patient needs can influence the duration of the appointment. Your aesthetician will provide a more accurate estimate of the time required based on your specific treatment plan and goals.
Dermal filler treatments are known for their ability to provide both immediate and progressive results. Understanding the timeline of effects can help patients set realistic expectations and appreciate the full scope of their treatment outcomes. The onset of visible results can vary depending on several factors, including the type of filler used and the area treated.
Immediate effects
Many patients experience instant gratification from their dermal filler treatment, with some results visible right after the procedure.
Volume enhancement
Areas treated for volume loss, such as cheeks or lips, often show an immediate plumping effect. This instant volumisation can provide a quick boost to one’s appearance and confidence.
Wrinkle reduction
Fillers injected into fine lines and wrinkles typically show an immediate smoothing effect, though the full results may take some time to develop as the filler settles.
Short-term developments
In the days following treatment, patients may notice continued improvements as the filler integrates with the surrounding tissues.
Hydration boost
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers attract water molecules, which can lead to increased hydration and a more radiant appearance of the skin over the first few days.
Swelling subsidence
Any initial swelling from the injection process typically subsides within the first 24-48 hours, revealing more of the true results of the treatment.
Long-term results
The full effects of dermal fillers often develop gradually over time, with optimal results becoming apparent after a few weeks.
Collagen stimulation
Some fillers can stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, leading to ongoing improvements in skin texture and firmness over several months.
Filler integration
As the filler fully integrates with the surrounding tissues, results often appear more natural and refined, typically reaching their peak at around 2-4 weeks post-treatment.
It’s important to note that while some effects of dermal fillers are immediately noticeable, the full, natural-looking results often develop gradually over time. This progressive enhancement allows for a more subtle, ‘refreshed’ appearance rather than an obvious, dramatic change, which many patients prefer.
Every patient’s experience is unique, and factors such as age, skin type, lifestyle, and the specific areas treated can influence how quickly the effects become noticeable. Your aesthetician will provide personalised guidance on what to expect based on your individual treatment plan and characteristics.
The longevity of dermal filler effects is a common concern for many patients considering this treatment. While dermal fillers offer significant improvements in facial aesthetics, it’s important to understand that their effects are temporary. The duration of results can vary widely depending on several factors, including the type of filler used, the area treated, and individual patient characteristics.
Average duration of effects
The longevity of dermal filler results can range from several months to over a year, depending on various factors.
Hyaluronic acid fillers
Most commonly used fillers are made of hyaluronic acid and typically last between 6 to 18 months. Areas with less movement, such as the cheeks, often retain the filler for longer periods compared to more dynamic areas like the lips.
Biostimulatory fillers
Some fillers, such as those containing poly-L-lactic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite, can stimulate collagen production and may provide results lasting up to two years or more.
Factors influencing longevity
Several factors can impact how long the effects of dermal fillers last for each individual.
Metabolic rate
Patients with higher metabolic rates may break down fillers more quickly, potentially shortening the duration of results. Conversely, those with slower metabolisms might enjoy longer-lasting effects.
Lifestyle factors
Certain lifestyle choices, such as smoking, excessive sun exposure, and high-stress levels, can accelerate the breakdown of fillers and potentially shorten their lifespan.
Treatment areas
The specific area of the face being treated can significantly influence how long the filler effects last.
Static vs. dynamic areas
Fillers tend to last longer in areas with less movement, such as the tear troughs or cheeks. More dynamic areas like the lips or around the mouth may metabolise the filler more quickly due to constant movement.
Depth of injection
Deeper injections, such as those used for cheek augmentation, often last longer than more superficial injections used for fine lines.
Maintenance and follow-up
To maintain optimal results, many patients opt for regular follow-up treatments.
Touch-up treatments
Some patients choose to have small touch-up treatments before the filler has completely dissipated to maintain consistent results.
Treatment intervals
Your aesthetician may recommend a treatment schedule tailored to your specific needs and the areas treated to help maintain your desired look over time.
It’s important to note that while the effects of dermal fillers are long-lasting, they are not permanent. The gradual nature of filler absorption means that results fade slowly over time, allowing for a natural transition. This temporary nature also provides flexibility, allowing for adjustments to your treatment plan as your facial structure and aesthetic goals evolve.
Every patient’s experience with dermal fillers is unique, and the longevity of results can vary significantly from person to person. Factors such as age, skin type, lifestyle habits, and even the technique used during injection can all play a role in how long the effects last. Your aesthetician will provide personalised advice on expected duration and recommend an appropriate treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals.
Dermal filler treatments are generally considered safe and well-tolerated, but like any medical procedure, they can be associated with certain side effects. Most side effects are mild and temporary, resolving on their own within a few days to weeks. Understanding potential side effects can help patients make informed decisions and know what to expect after their treatment.
Common side effects
Most patients experience mild, short-lived side effects following dermal filler injections.
Injection site reactions
Redness, swelling, and mild bruising at the injection sites are the most common side effects. These typically subside within a few days and can often be concealed with makeup if necessary.
Tenderness
The treated areas may feel slightly sore or tender to touch for a few days post-treatment. This is a normal part of the healing process and usually resolves quickly.
Less common side effects
While less frequent, some patients may experience other temporary effects.
Lumps or asymmetry
Occasionally, small lumps or slight asymmetry may be noticeable immediately after treatment. These issues often resolve as the filler settles and integrates with the surrounding tissues.
Itching or rash
Some patients may experience mild itching or a slight rash in the treated area. This is usually temporary and can be managed with appropriate aftercare.
Rare complications
Although uncommon, more serious complications can occur, especially if the treatment is not performed by a qualified practitioner.
Vascular occlusion
In very rare cases, filler may be inadvertently injected into or around a blood vessel, potentially leading to tissue damage. This risk is minimised when treatments are performed by experienced, qualified practitioners.
Infection
While extremely rare when proper sterile techniques are used, there is a slight risk of infection at the injection site.
Managing side effects
Most side effects can be effectively managed with proper aftercare.
Cold compresses
Applying cold compresses to the treated areas can help reduce swelling and discomfort in the first 24-48 hours post-treatment.
Aftercare instructions
Following your practitioner’s specific aftercare instructions, such as avoiding strenuous exercise or excessive heat exposure for a short period, can help minimise side effects and optimise results.
It’s important to note that while side effects are possible, they are typically mild and short-lived when dermal filler treatments are performed by qualified practitioners. The temporary nature of most side effects means that patients can expect any discomfort or visible signs of treatment to resolve relatively quickly, allowing them to enjoy their refreshed appearance.
Every patient’s experience with dermal fillers is unique, and individual factors such as age, skin type, medical history, and the specific areas treated can influence the likelihood and severity of side effects. Your aesthetician will provide a thorough pre-treatment consultation to assess your suitability for dermal fillers and discuss any potential risks based on your individual circumstances.
The reversibility of dermal fillers is an important aspect that provides reassurance to many patients considering this aesthetic treatment. The ability to reverse or dissolve fillers adds an extra layer of safety and flexibility to the treatment process. However, it’s crucial to understand that not all dermal fillers are reversible, and the process depends on the type of filler used.
Hyaluronic acid fillers
The most commonly used dermal fillers are based on hyaluronic acid (HA) and are indeed reversible.
Dissolution process
HA fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This enzyme breaks down the hyaluronic acid, effectively reversing the effects of the filler.
Quick action
The dissolution process typically shows results within 24 to 48 hours, with the effects of the filler being significantly reduced or eliminated.
Non-hyaluronic acid fillers
Some dermal fillers are not based on hyaluronic acid and are generally not reversible in the same way.
Biostimulatory fillers
Fillers such as poly-L-lactic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite stimulate collagen production and are not dissolvable. Their effects gradually diminish as the body naturally metabolises the product.
Alternative management
For non-HA fillers, any unwanted effects typically need to be managed through other means, such as waiting for the product to naturally degrade or, in rare cases, surgical removal.
Reasons for reversal
While reversals are uncommon, there are several situations where this option might be considered.
Aesthetic dissatisfaction
If a patient is unhappy with the aesthetic outcome, such as overfilling or asymmetry, the filler can be dissolved and the treatment approach reassessed.
Complications management
In the rare event of complications such as vascular occlusion, immediate reversal of HA fillers can be a crucial safety measure.
The reversal process
Understanding the reversal process can help patients feel more comfortable with their treatment decision.
Professional administration
Filler dissolution should only be performed by qualified practitioners who can assess the need for reversal and administer the correct amount of hyaluronidase.
Potential side effects
While generally safe, the reversal process itself can occasionally cause mild side effects such as temporary swelling or redness.
It’s important to note that while the option for reversal exists for HA fillers, it’s rarely necessary when treatments are performed by qualified professionals. The reversibility of these fillers serves more as a safety net, providing peace of mind to patients and practitioners alike. Most patients find that any minor adjustments needed can be addressed through touch-up treatments rather than full reversal.
Every patient’s situation is unique, and the decision to reverse a filler treatment should be made in consultation with a qualified aesthetician. Factors such as the type of filler used, the area treated, and the specific concern will all play a role in determining the best course of action. Your practitioner will guide you through the options available based on your individual circumstances and desired outcomes.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in the human body that has gained significant attention in the field of aesthetics and skincare. Understanding the nature and functions of hyaluronic acid can help patients appreciate its role in dermal filler treatments and its importance in maintaining skin health and appearance.
Molecular structure and properties
Hyaluronic acid has unique properties that make it invaluable in both medical and aesthetic applications.
Chemical composition
HA is a type of glycosaminoglycan, a long chain of sugar molecules. Its molecular structure allows it to bind and retain large amounts of water, up to 1,000 times its own weight.
Natural occurrence
The human body naturally produces hyaluronic acid, with the highest concentrations found in the skin, eyes, and joints. However, production decreases with age, contributing to signs of ageing.
Functions in the body
Hyaluronic acid plays several crucial roles in maintaining tissue health and function.
Hydration
In the skin, HA acts as a powerful humectant, drawing moisture from the environment and deeper skin layers to keep the surface hydrated and plump.
Structural support
HA is a key component of the extracellular matrix, providing structural support to tissues and helping to maintain skin elasticity and firmness.
Applications in aesthetic medicine
The unique properties of hyaluronic acid make it a versatile tool in aesthetic treatments.
Dermal fillers
HA-based dermal fillers can restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. The biocompatibility of HA reduces the risk of allergic reactions.
Skincare products
Topical products containing hyaluronic acid can help improve skin hydration and reduce the appearance of fine lines, although their effects are more superficial compared to injectable treatments.
Safety and biocompatibility
The natural presence of hyaluronic acid in the body contributes to its excellent safety profile in aesthetic treatments.
Low allergenic potential
As HA is not species-specific, the risk of allergic reactions is minimal, making it suitable for most patients.
Reversibility
HA fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, providing an additional safety measure in aesthetic treatments.
It’s important to note that while hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance, the HA used in dermal fillers is typically synthesised in a laboratory to ensure purity and consistency. This synthetic HA closely mimics the body’s own hyaluronic acid, allowing for safe and effective use in aesthetic treatments.
Every individual’s skin composition and needs are unique, and the benefits of hyaluronic acid can vary from person to person. Your aesthetician can provide personalised advice on how HA-based treatments or products may benefit your specific skin concerns and goals, taking into account factors such as your age, skin type, and overall health.
The safety of dermal fillers is a primary concern for many patients considering aesthetic treatments. While dermal fillers are generally considered safe when administered by qualified professionals, it’s important to understand both the safety profile and potential risks associated with these treatments.
Regulatory approval and clinical evidence
Dermal fillers used in reputable clinics have undergone rigorous testing and regulatory scrutiny.
Clinical trials
Approved dermal fillers have been subject to extensive clinical trials to evaluate their safety and efficacy. These studies provide valuable data on both short-term and long-term effects.
Regulatory oversight
In the UK, dermal fillers are regulated as medical devices, ensuring they meet strict quality and safety standards before being approved for use.
Practitioner expertise
The safety of dermal filler treatments is significantly influenced by the skill and experience of the administering practitioner.
Anatomical knowledge
Qualified practitioners possess in-depth understanding of facial anatomy, crucial for safe and effective treatment outcomes. This knowledge helps avoid complications such as injection into blood vessels.
Injection techniques
Proper injection techniques, including the use of cannulas where appropriate, can minimise risks and enhance results. Experienced practitioners are trained in the latest, safest injection methods.
Potential risks and complications
While generally safe, it’s important to be aware of potential risks associated with dermal filler treatments.
Common side effects
Temporary swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site are normal and typically resolve within a few days. These are usually mild and manageable with proper aftercare.
Rare complications
More serious complications, such as vascular occlusion or infection, are extremely rare but can occur. These risks are significantly reduced when treatments are performed by qualified practitioners in clinical settings.
Safety features of modern fillers
Many dermal fillers, particularly those based on hyaluronic acid, have built-in safety features.
Biocompatibility
Hyaluronic acid fillers are composed of a substance naturally found in the body, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or rejection.
Reversibility
In the rare event of complications or unsatisfactory results, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, providing an additional safety measure.
Patient suitability and assessment
Ensuring patient safety involves careful pre-treatment assessment and planning.
Medical history review
A thorough review of the patient’s medical history helps identify any contraindications or potential risk factors before treatment.
Personalised treatment plans
Tailoring treatments to individual patient needs and characteristics helps ensure both safety and optimal results.
It’s important to note that while dermal fillers have an excellent safety profile when used appropriately, no medical procedure is entirely without risk. The key to safe treatment lies in choosing a qualified practitioner, using approved products, and following all pre and post-treatment instructions carefully.
Every patient’s circumstances are unique, and factors such as individual health conditions, medication use, and specific treatment areas can influence the safety and suitability of dermal filler treatments. A comprehensive consultation with a qualified aesthetician will help assess your individual risk profile and determine the most appropriate and safe treatment approach for your specific needs and goals.
Static wrinkles are a common concern in facial aesthetics and understanding their nature is crucial for anyone considering anti-ageing treatments. Unlike dynamic wrinkles, which appear with facial movements, static wrinkles are visible even when the face is at rest. These wrinkles play a significant role in the ageing process and are often a primary target for dermal filler treatments.
Definition and characteristics
Static wrinkles have distinct features that set them apart from other types of facial lines.
Persistent appearance
These wrinkles are visible when the face is relaxed and expressionless. They don’t disappear when facial muscles are at rest, unlike dynamic wrinkles which are only apparent during facial movements.
Progressive development
Static wrinkles typically start as dynamic wrinkles and gradually become permanent fixtures on the face as skin loses elasticity and collagen over time.
Causes of static wrinkles
Several factors contribute to the formation and progression of static wrinkles.
Intrinsic ageing
As we age, our skin naturally loses vital components like collagen and elastin, leading to decreased skin elasticity and the formation of wrinkles.
Environmental factors
External influences such as sun exposure, pollution, and lifestyle habits (e.g., smoking) can accelerate the formation of static wrinkles by damaging skin cells and breaking down supportive structures.
Common areas for static wrinkles
Static wrinkles can appear in various areas of the face, each with its own characteristics.
Nasolabial folds
These deep lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth are often among the first noticeable static wrinkles. They can significantly impact facial appearance and are a common concern for many patients.
Marionette lines
Vertical lines extending from the corners of the mouth to the chin can give a downturned appearance to the face, often contributing to a tired or aged look.
Treatment options
Modern aesthetic medicine offers various effective treatments to address static wrinkles.
Dermal fillers
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers can effectively ‘fill in’ static wrinkles, restoring lost volume and smoothing the skin’s surface. They are particularly effective for deeper wrinkles like nasolabial folds.
Combination approaches
For comprehensive rejuvenation, practitioners may recommend combining dermal fillers with other treatments such as botulinum toxin injections or skin resurfacing procedures.
It’s important to note that while static wrinkles are a natural part of ageing, their appearance and progression can vary significantly between individuals. Factors such as genetics, skin type, and lifestyle all play a role in how and when these wrinkles develop.
Every person’s facial ageing process is unique, and what works best for one individual may not be the optimal solution for another. A personalised consultation with a qualified aesthetician can help determine the most effective approach for addressing your specific concerns regarding static wrinkles, taking into account your individual facial anatomy, skin condition, and aesthetic goals.

Some patients may experience mild itching or a slight rash in the treated area. This is usually temporary and can be managed with appropriate aftercare. If persistent, consulting your practitioner is advisable.
Rare complications
Although uncommon, more serious complications can occur, especially if the treatment is not performed by a qualified practitioner.
Vascular occlusion
In very rare cases, filler may be inadvertently injected into or around a blood vessel, potentially leading to tissue damage. This risk is minimised when treatments are performed by experienced, qualified practitioners who have a thorough understanding of facial anatomy.
Infection
While extremely rare when proper sterile techniques are used, there is a slight risk of infection at the injection site. Following proper aftercare instructions helps reduce this risk further.
Managing side effects
Most side effects can be effectively managed with proper aftercare.
Aftercare instructions
Following your practitioner’s specific aftercare instructions, such as avoiding strenuous exercise or excessive heat exposure for a short period, can help minimise side effects and optimise results.
Follow-up appointments
Many practitioners offer follow-up appointments to assess results and address any concerns. These appointments provide an opportunity to discuss any side effects experienced and receive appropriate care if needed.
If you experience any unexpected or prolonged side effects, it’s crucial to contact your practitioner promptly for advice and appropriate management.
